I'm making my oatmeal (nutritious) stout (delicious) again this weekend. That's my first custom recipe for a beer, so it has a special place among all the others. This will be my third time making it. However, I've changed it a little bit - changed from American base malt to British base malt and adding more chocolate malt. So, I s'pose that it's a different animal now, isn't it?
I seem to keep coming back to British style beers. I think that it's all about Germany and Britian (or whatever you call England, Scotland and Ireland). Yep - if you want a good beer, it's gonna have to trace its roots back to one of those two places. That would explain why all of the hops that I planted are for British ales and German lagers, wouldn't it???
